Description

Covers the components and controls of residential conventional, mid efficiency, high efficiency, fuel oil, and electric furnaces, as well as low pressure boilers. Electrical wiring diagrams, specialized test equipment, and efficiency testing will also be included. Emphasis will be placed on proper balancing techniques needed to insure peak efficiency and the maximum life span of heating equipment. Lab activities provide students with balancing and troubleshooting skills. Prerequisite: RA 110, RA 112
