I am a Health Core instructor teaching courses that students are required to take before entering into one of the healthcare fields offered here at Southeast tech. 


Work Experience:

Over thirty years of nursing experience ranging from Medical-Surgical, Neurology, Orthopedic, Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care, Executive Management, Cardiology.  


Education Background:

Diploma of Nursing, St. Luke's School of Nursing

R.N. to M.S.N with Education Specialty, Walden University

Description

Students are introduced to laboratory procedures and expectations when completing phlebotomy and laboratory testing procedures. Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and laboratory procedures. Students will learn about the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA), different laboratory departments and personnel, quality assurance, workplace practices and OSHA guidelines in the laboratory.
