Pharmacology for the RN (NURS 212)

I am a full time instructor teaching in the Registered Nursing Program.
Pharmacology introduces and focuses on the knowledge of pharmacologic agents utilized by registered nurses while providing patient centered care. Evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives are incorporated to maximize safety to the patient populations encountered. Multidisciplinary teamwork is stressed along with the comparison and utilization of various forms of technology (i.e. electronic medical records) with the primary aim of communication, management, error mitigation and critical decision making. Prerequisite: MICR 231, PHGY 210, CHEM 106, CHEM 106L, MATH 103 or MATH 114 or MATH 120, SOC 150 or SOC 250
