Description

This course builds on previous coursework. Industrial control electronics and electrical systems will be the focus of study. Students will build and test control circuits and power circuits. We will study applications of high power semiconductor circuits, relays for power interfacing as well as for control applications. This course includes activities involving DC power, AC power and 3 phase AC power. Daily assignments will be hands on and geared toward diagnostics and troubleshooting as well as design considerations. Prerequisite: MECH 114, MECH 114L Corequisite: MECH 123
