Position :

For the LPN program I am involved in teaching LPN 101 Intro to Nursing Lab, LPN 131 Med/Surg Lab, Med/Surg Nursing I & II, and a variety of clinical rotations. It is so rewarding to work with students as they begin nursing classes and to watch their growth and as they progress through the program. 


Mr. Dustin Pepper

Faculty Bio:

Dustin Pepper, BSN, has worked with cardiology/telemetry patients and currently works in the Intensive Care Unit. He holds many nursing certifications in a wide variety of areas. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University, and is working towards his Master's Degree in Nursing. Dustin has taught numerous health classes at Southeast Technical Institute and holds a post-secondary credential from the South Dakota Board of Education.  He currently works as an LPN instructor.

Description

Students work with a preceptor at a clinical site and work with an LPN or RN. Clinical hours are a required part of the clinical experience prior to receiving the diploma for completion of the program. Prerequisites: all first and second semester coursework and permission of Program Chair
