Position :

For the LPN program I am involved in teaching LPN 101 Intro to Nursing Lab, LPN 131 Med/Surg Lab, Med/Surg Nursing I & II, and a variety of clinical rotations. It is so rewarding to work with students as they begin nursing classes and to watch their growth and as they progress through the program.

Description

Introduces students to providing nursing care for the maternal and pediatric patient. Students will care for women throughout pregnancy and children from infancy through adolescence. During this clinical rotation, students will interact with maternal and pediatric patients in a variety of clinic, inpatient, and group home settings, as well as in simulated scenarios. They will have opportunities to perform nursing skills within the LPN scope of practice for these populations. Prerequisite: LPN 104, LPN 104L , LPN 104S , LPN 114 Corequisite: LPN 120
