Description

The focus of this course is to prepare Southeast Tech nursing students for basic health care skills. Students will be instructed in the following areas: communication and interpersonal skills, infection control, safety and emergency procedures, promoting client independence, and respecting client rights. Students will also be instructed in the following content areas: basic healthcare skills, personal care skills, mental health and social services, care of cognitively impaired clients, basic restorative services, and client rights.
