Who Am I?

I am an adjunct Business Administration Instructor with over thirteen years of professional experience that includes cost accounting, human resource management, and post-secondary education.  I earned my Master’s of Science in Management from Colorado Technical University and my Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Black Hills State University. 

I am adjunct instructor, and I have taught at STC for over 15 years.  I teach many business courses such as Introduction to Business, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Law, Supervisory Management, Personal Finance, Business Communications and Business Law and Introduction to Computers.

I am passionate about student success, and I LOVE TEACHING!

Instructional Experience: 

Professionally, I have been in the field of early childhood in a variety of capacities. I have worked in direct services with children (B to age 12), resource & referral services for parents, child care programming and administration, and the implementation of a parent education program. It is rewarding to work on behalf of the needs and rights of children, families, and educators.

I am passionate about teaching others about the importance and value of the early years, and have been fortunate to be part of this field for over 30 years.

Description

This hybrid course is designed for instructors in post-secondary technical education who wish to become effective classroom leaders by enhancing their teaching methods and curriculum, and improving their classroom management. The four major areas of exploration for the instructor include: 1) Teaching, 2) Learning, 3) Curriculum Design and Delivery and 4) Assessment. Instructors will discuss these areas and develop the ability to design, deliver and evaluate curriculum, student learning and success in their classrooms.
