Description

Analog circuits as they relate to the world. Analog devices involved in the course include: PN junction, zener, and varactor diodes; bipolar, unijunction, and field effect transistors; SCRs, TRIACs, and DIACs. Power supply topics include half-wave and full-wave rectifiers, filtering, zener regulation, and series-pass and monolithic regulators. Also included are various types of discrete component amplifier configurations, multi-stage, power, and operational amplifiers. Prerequisite: MECH 114 Corequisite: ET 124
