Description
This course will introduce the student to the level of background knowledge and skills necessary to become competent with the dental materials and laboratory equipment used today in the clinical setting. The course will cover the physical and chemical properties, manipulation, and uses of gypsum, restorative and esthetic materials, impression materials, dental cements, dental liners, bases and bonding systems. The course will cover the safety precautions that need to be taken and the different types of equipment that is used in the dental laboratory. Corequisite: DEN 115L
