Industry Experience:

I have 10 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Sonographer at an inpatient and outpatient setting. I was a clinical preceptor during this time, participated in clinical trials, and did some industry public speaking as well. 

Educational Experience:

I graduated from Southeast Technical College with an AAS Degree in Cardiac Ultrasound in 2016. Later, I obtained both my RDCS and RVT certifications. Currently working towards a Bachelor's in Health Sciences.

Description

In this course, students will continue to build upon their skills performing echocardiograms by continuing to obtain parasternal long and short axis views. Students will then begin obtaining views in the apical window including apical 4 chamber, apical 5 chamber, apical 2 chamber, and apical 3 chamber views. Students will obtain 2D images, 2D measurements, color doppler, and spectral doppler images and measurements. Prerequisite: HC 117, HC 118, HC 118L, MATH 103 or MATH 114, CNA certificate or HC 106, PHYS 100, CV 123, CVS 103, CVS 103L, CVS 105, CVS 105L, CVS 113, CVS 113L, CVS 115, CVS 115L, HC 103, CV 125
