Description

In this course, students will use knowledge of the knobology of the ultrasound machines and Ultrasound Physics principles to begin obtaining images of the peripheral and cerebrovascular by using 2D, Color, and Spectral doppler. Students will learn and demonstrate how to optimize color and spectral doppler and continue to optimize 2D images to Vascular Sonography Lab Industry Standards and perform Lower Extremity Venous and Arterial Duplex Protocols and Carotid Duplex Protocol. Students will use knowledge from Vascular Sonography II Lecture to perform Arterial Non-Imaging Protocols using Continuous Wave Doppler Technology and obtain Segmental Arterial Pressures with the Non-Imaging machines. Prerequisite: HC 117, HC 118, HC 118L, MATH 103 or MATH 114, CNA certificate or HC 106, PHYS 100, CV 123, CVS 103, CVS 103L, CVS 113, CVS 113L, HC 103
