Description

This course introduces revenue cycle management (RCM) processes within healthcare organizations, including reimbursement methodologies, payment systems, charge capture, clinical documentation integrity, claims management, and compliance auditing. Students examine how clinical and financial data are used to support accurate reimbursement, monitor organizational performance, and maintain regulatory compliance across the revenue cycle. Prerequisite: CODE 110, CODE 110 L, CODE 112, CODE 112 L, CODE 128, CODE 128L, CODE 210, HIM 121
