Description

This course equips students with the knowledge and applied skills necessary to evaluate, design, and implement secure operating systems and enterprise network environments. Delivered in a lecture?lab format, the curriculum emphasizes practical experience in hardening server hardware, securing operating systems, and protecting complex network infrastructures. Students learn to gather and analyze security information, apply industry best practices, and develop comprehensive security solutions. The course covers enterprise networking concepts, network scalability, wide-area networking technologies, and foundational principles of network security. Additional topics include network virtualization, automation fundamentals, and the configuration and troubleshooting of enterprise network devices using current tools and methodologies. Students also gain experience using modern network monitoring and management tools to assess performance, identify issues, and support secure enterprise operations. This course also prepares students for a range of industry?recognized IT security and networking certifications, aligned with institutional requirements and current industry standards.
