STI Instructor Bio:

Roger Morris, Computer Programming Instructor, has 27+ years of professional experience that includes the companies General Electric, Kodak, United States Coast Guard, Berkley Information Services as well as Southeast Technical Institute. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Missouri Institute of Technology. Roger teaches several core programming classes such as: SQL, Java, RPG, and Computer Applications.


Description

This course teaches the fundamentals of relational database design and TSQL. Students learn how data is structured and modeled by designing ERDs using many real-life examples. Hands-on experience working with databases is obtained by using TSQL. Creation of a normalized database utilizes Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD's).
