Professional Experience: I have 20+ years of Human Resources experience with 4 different organizations.  In these roles I was responsible for Compensation & Benefits, Employment Law, Organizational Behavior, Training & Development, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Planning, Safety, and Employee Relations.  It is a privilege to work with students and share my experiences in real-world scenarios to prepare our students for a career after graduation.

Educational Background: I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Minor in History from Augustana University and my Master's degree in Labor Relations & Human Resources from Cleveland State University.

My office hours vary by semester and are posted outside my office as well as in the syllabus of each class being taught.

Description

The main goal of this course is to ensure students are prepared for the workplace demonstrating the following four learning outcomes: Communication, Technical, Problem Solving, Professionalism. Students will create an online brand and professional resume. Students will learn skills to improve their emotional intelligence and soft skills and will recognize their potential impact on their personal and professional lives. The importance of participating in civic duty will also be practiced. As this is a Capstone course, it is highly recommended to complete this course in your final semester. Prerequisite: Must have completed 30 earned credits.
