Description

This advanced surgical lab prepares students for entry into the clinical environment through realistic mock surgical procedures across a variety of specialties. Students will demonstrate proficiency in sterile technique, instrumentation, laparoscopic setup, patient preparation, and intraoperative responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on increasing independence, critical thinking, and surgical conscience, as well as effective communication and collaboration within the surgical team to ensure clinical readiness. Prerequisite: All First & Second Semester ST/HC Courses Corequisite: ST 111, ST 111S, ST 112
