Description
This course serves as an immersive introduction into the perioperative setting, building on the foundational knowledge acquired in ST 111 Perioperative Management. For 8 weeks, students will enter the clinical setting for an extensive 56-hour hands on experience in the Surgical Department.
By combining theoretical insights with hands-on experiences, this course aims to equip students with a comprehensive skill set essential for success in the perioperative setting. The immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to witness and actively engage with the day-to-day responsibilities of various Perioperative Roles, providing invaluable insights and preparing students for the challenges and rewards of a career in this critical healthcare domain. Prerequisite: All 1st & 2nd semester HC/ST courses Corequisite: ST 112, ST 122L
