Description

This course is designed to introduce respiratory therapy students to the foundational principles and practices of therapeutic interventions used in the management of cardiopulmonary disorders. Covering a breadth of topics, students will delve into the pharmacological properties, mechanisms of action, and clinical applications of various respiratory medications, including bronchodilators, anti-inflammatories, and mucolytics. The course also emphasizes proper drug administration techniques, understanding of drug interactions, and the significance of patient education.
