My lovely wife of 26 years, Lisa and two sons, Brad, 26 and Jordan, 22.   My son Brad is a journeyman plumber in Sioux Falls and my son Jordan is a Crew Chief on the Blackhawk helicopter in the US Army and stationed in Weisbaden Germany.
 

Hobbies:

I have a cabin on Lake Thompson near DeSmet SD where I try to spend as much time as possible with family and friends pursuing my love of hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

I am the first year instructor in the HVAC program here at Southeast Tech.  Courses I teach are Basic Electricity, Basic Refrigeration, Basic Heating Systems, Heating Troubleshooting, AC Installations, and AC Troubleshooting and Sheetmetal Fabrication.  We focus on residential heating and cooling.

Description

Covers the components and controls of residential conventional, mid efficiency, high efficiency, fuel oil, and electric furnaces, as well as low pressure boilers. Electrical wiring diagrams, specialized test equipment, and efficiency testing will also be included. Emphasis will be placed on proper balancing techniques needed to insure peak efficiency and the maximum life span of heating equipment. Lab activities provide students with balancing and troubleshooting skills. Prerequisite: RA 110, RA 112
