Description

Lifespan I explores foundational concepts of human growth and development, emphasizing patient-centered care. Students will collaborate with peers to develop critical thinking skills by applying the nursing process, integrating evidence-based practice, and addressing quality improvement initiatives. The course introduces health promotion, risk reduction, physiological adaptation, pharmacological and parental therapies, nutrition, and basic care and comfort within the context of maternal, newborn, and pediatric populations, fostering the development of safe, holistic care plans. Prerequisite: MICR 231, PHGY 210, CHEM 106 , CHEM 106L , SOC 150 , or SOC 250 Corequisite: NURS 211LS
