Description

Advertising has the ability to reach out and touch everything living and working in the world today. At some point in your life, most people will probably become creators of advertising - whether you design a flyer for a college car wash, write a classified ad for your garage sale, or develop a campaign for some business, charitable event, or political cause. In this course, we will explore the role of advertising in the marketplace, the elements of successful advertising, advertising production and tasks accomplished by media professionals. Students will experience different advertising methods to reach target audiences for newspaper, radio, TV, internet, mail, outdoor and special promotional events. Prerequisite: MKT 120
