Description

Introduces the student to the fundamentals of digital circuits and logic. Students will study discrete hardwired logic circuitry as well as programmable logic devices. Topics range from inverters and basic combinational logic circuits to programmed timers, counters, and digital memory circuits. Students will gain a functional knowledge of numbering systems such as binary, hexadecimal and BCD commonly used in programming and communication in electronic control systems. Corequisite: MECH 153L
