An introduction to electronic components, their function, schematic symbols, wiring methods and electrical safety. This course will cover passive, reactive and semiconductor components. Voltage, current, component characteristics, and their relationships using Ohm's law, Watt's law and Kirchhoff's laws will be studied with a mathematical approach to analyze electronic circuits. Also included. Basic algebra, exponents, metric prefixes, and trigonometry will be covered as it relates to electronic circuits. Corequisite: MECH 114L
