STI Bio

Nicholas Schneider is the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for the Professional Studies programs at Southeast Technical College. Prior to this position, he taught and served as the Lab Specialist on the Graphic Communications team. He has been with Southeast Technical College since 2008. 

Nick earned his bachelor’s degree from Dakota State University, where he focused on Technology, Business, and Digital Arts. He later completed his master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education at the University of South Dakota.

Regarding his teaching philosophy, he states, “I believe that in the field, we are constantly learning and striving for success. I support those who want to learn and encourage all students to reach their full potential."

Description

This course equips students with the fundamental knowledge and skills to assess injuries, administer first aid for acute medical and trauma emergencies, and ensure on-scene safety for both victims and rescue personnel as part of their law enforcement duties.
