This course is designed to provide the basic principles of medical word building. These principles, once learned, can readily be applied to develop an extensive medical vocabulary. The textbook is presented with a variety of self-teaching features allowing the student to work through the chapters in systemized fashion that focuses on body systems. Once satisfactorily completed, the student will be able to adequately communicate in the health care industry.
