Hello!  I am Joey Edberg and have been teaching in some capacity for 30 years.  I love English and also teach AP Language and Literature at Jefferson High School, where I am additionally the ELA Department Chair.  My background is also in social studies and current events, which is very intriguing to me.  I believe that an education is essential for personal growth and for deciding what interests you for your future career.  I live with my husband, stepson, and two spoiled dogs.  I love to hike, read, and hang out on our family boat.  I am excited to be your instructor and kindly ask that you come to me first with any questions or concerns. There is not much we can't solve together concerning this class.  I will work hard to ensure you know your expectations and receive feedback about your grade. It's going to be a great semester!

Description

Presents the elements of oral and written communication necessary to succeed in today's workplace. Emphasizes the written and oral skills needed for job search and employment. Hands-on activities and collaborative projects will provide students with comprehensive information addressing essential writing, speaking, and listening skills necessary to excel in today's workplace as well as the workplace of tomorrow.
