Instructional Experience:

Professionally I have been in the field of early childhood in a variety of capacities. I have worked in direct services with children (B to age 12), resource & referral services for parents, directed child care centers and implemented a parent education program. It is rewarding to work on behalf of the needs and rights of children, families and teachers.

I am passionate about teaching and have enjoyed my role as an educator in the Sioux Falls area.

Description

This course provides an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills in a supervised early childhood setting. It emphasizes professional relationships and behavior, appropriate adult-adult and adult-child interactions, basic curriculum planning and implementation, and program practices. It provides an opportunity for well-rounded field experience. Prerequisite: ECH 101, ECH 120, ECH 130, ECH 170, ECH 201, ECH 220, ECH 230
