Instructional Experience:

Professionally I have been in the field of early childhood in a variety of capacities. I have worked in direct services with children (B to age 12), resource & referral services for parents, directed child care centers and implemented a parent education program. It is rewarding to work on behalf of the needs and rights of children, families and teachers.

I am passionate about teaching and have enjoyed my role as an educator in the Sioux Falls area.

  • B.S. Human Development Consumer & Family Studies with an emphasis in Family Relations; Minor in Sociology; South Dakota State University 
  • M.S. Human Development Consumer & Family Sciences with an emphasis in Early Childhood; South Dakota State University

This course is a study of professional issues in the field of early childhood, and family studies. This course will discuss professional development, ethics, public policy, advocacy and workplace issues. Prerequisite: ECH 101
