Instructional Experience:

Professionally I have been in the field of early childhood in a variety of capacities. I have worked in direct services with children (B to age 12), resource & referral services for parents, directed child care centers and implemented a parent education program. It is rewarding to work on behalf of the needs and rights of children, families and teachers.

I am passionate about teaching and have enjoyed my role as an educator in the Sioux Falls area.

Description

This course provides information on the importance of language and literacy development throughout the early years. This course will give opportunities for students to understand the fundamentals of language and literacy skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and their appropriate teaching methods. Prerequisite: ECH 101, ECH 130, ECH 170
