This course provides foundational knowledge of basic child growth and development from prenatal to age 2 It address pre-natal development, brain development and domains of cognitive (language), social, emotional and physical development. Developmentally appropriate expectations, teaching practices, environmental considerations, individualized care and the value of adult relationships will be applied. Prerequisite: ECH 101
