I graduated from USD with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2009.  I have worked clinically as a dental hygienist since 2009.  

I began my career at Southeast Technical College as an adjunct Dental Assisting Instructor in 2020 and transitioned to a full-time instructor in 2023.

My office hours: 

Monday: Radiology Open Lab, 7:30-8:00 am.

Tuesday: Radiology Open Lab, 7:30-8:00 am.

Wednesday: Virtual Office Hours, 1:00-2:00 pm. 

Thursday: Radiology Open Lab, 7:30-8:00 am.

Friday: Dental Materials Open Lab, 8:30-10:00 am, and 11:00-12:00 pm.

Description

This lab will focus on the techniques of four handed dentistry, identifying the use of various dental instruments and procedures, various dental burs, and handpieces, patient care, assembly of the anesthetic syringe, care of the sharps during anesthetic administration. Student will learn how to give patient education; post opt instructions and develop a smooth transition of instruments during four handed dentistry. Corequisite: DEN 125
