Description

This course is a full-time clinical internship that will be completed at an affiliated hospital or clinic. Students will broaden and perfect their skills in Cardiac and Vascular ultrasound skills. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking skills as they relate to evaluating Cardiovascular pathologies and patient care. The student will be required to keep daily and weekly logs of all studies that they are involved in. Time sheets will also be kept recording the hours worked. Registry Review questions will be completed, as well as case study reports and a PowerPoint Clinical site portfolio. Students will be required to attend "Review Week" at Southeast Technical College at the time of graduation in May. Coursework for this clinical course will be completed on MyTech and through Trajecsys, our online clinical record keeping site. Prerequisite: CVS 203, CVS 203L, CVS 213, CVS 213L
