Description

A continuation of Cardiac Sonography I with a special emphasis on cardiac pathology. Students will gain knowledge in obtaining appropriate echocardiographic measurements and calculations in patients with specific cardiac disease. Pathologies include: Valvular disease, systolic and diastolic dysfunction, cardiomyopathies, pericardial disease, diseases of the great vessels, cardiac masses, endocarditis, prosthetic valves and adult congenital heart disease. Prerequisite: HC 106, CVN 124, CVN 123 Corequisite: CVN 213
