Description

This course is designed to build upon the skills and knowledge obtained in Invasive Diagnostic Procedures I course. The focus of this course will be advanced theories of diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures. Subjects discussed include, but are not limited to, alternative vascular access sites; catheters and commonly used diagnostic equipment; coronary anatomy; coronary angiography; left ventriculography; and associated diagnostic evaluation methods. Invasive procedural care of the patient will be discussed which includes procedural medication selection and administration. Prerequisite: CVI 103L, CHEM 106 & CHEM 106L Corequisite: CVI 133 & CVI 133L, CVI 135L
