Description

This course is designed to apply the skills learning in Civil Construction Techniques. This course allows student to apply knowledge to horizontal construction. Students will learn the safety of civil construction and be introduced to concepts for heavy highway and municipal plans. Students will apply basics of surveying and site layout and how that relates to staking, cut/fill and slopes. Students will be exposed to civil construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, soil and aggregate. This course is paired with Civil Construction Techniques for theory development. Prerequisite: CMT 101 L Corequisite: CMT 122
