Chad Altwine, brings over 25 years of a technical management experience to the Construction Management instructor position. Chad began his career with a degree in Industrial Management with a minor in Business and emphasis in Construction. He started out as Technical Services Manager in manufacturing and then spent more than 15 years at both state and private Higher Ed institutions overseeing campus operations, facilities, and construction projects. Most recently, he has been working as a college and career readiness instructor.

Description

This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of commercial construction. This course will review the safety requirements of a commercial construction site. Students will learn about vertical construction including red iron, precast construction, steel framing and other commercial applications. This course is paired with the Commercial Construction Techniques Lab for application. Prerequisite: CMT 101 Corequisite: CMT 121L
