Description

Teaches the principles of installing and maintaining wireless local area networks. Students will be given the opportunity to learn about wireless technologies in computer networking. They will set up 802.11 wireless networks from Cisco, Unifi, D-Link and other vendors. In the lab, students will do site audits to best place the access points for better range and throughput, with a focus on security. Wireless standards will be covered to better understand the technology. Prerequisite: CIS 112, CIS 171
