Description

An introduction to the basic concept of mechanics, emphasizing the action of forces on rigid bodies. Includes analysis of planar force systems, friction, first moments and centroids, and moments of inertia. These concepts will be treated as they relate to the functions performed by technicians. Prerequisite: MATH 116 or MATH 120
